Velocity Track

Each level of The PHONICS Road study is scheduled for a 34-week year. This schedule allows most students to complete the work in each level each year. For example, The PHONICS Road Level One is designed to begin with average students between 5- and 7-years old. Some may need a bit more time and some may complete it more quickly, but with Barbara's video presentations for the students and helps for the teachers, you set the pace that works for you!

Older or Struggling Students: More often than not, there are students 8-years-old and above who struggle with spelling, or writing, or reading, or all three. In Barbara's 35 years of teaching she has found three common reasons for these struggles:

  1. A lack of basic facts. Students have not been taught the beginning tools of English.
  2. Not enough practice with basic facts to build upon.
  3. Confusions from previous studies that result in faulty foundations.

The Solution: The PHONICS Road Velocity Track. Using the Level One video presentations, older or struggling students can be taught by Barbara on an accelerated schedule: a 4-month schedule for 8- to 9-year olds, or a 3-month schedule for students 10 and above. This same Velocity Track is also available for Level Two, so your older students can re-establish all their foundational skills in less than a year and be prepared for the intermediate Levels Three and Four.

Phonics Road Velocity Track
